Where graphic design ROI actually shows up
Graphic design is the connective tissue across every marketing channel. The same logo on your website, your business cards, your ads, your invoices, your vehicle wraps, your signage — that visual consistency drives brand recognition more than any individual asset. A well-designed business looks bigger, more established, and more trustworthy than its actual size — which directly affects pricing power and close rates.
For service businesses specifically, professional graphic design typically increases close rates 8-22% on the same lead volume. The mechanism: when comparison-shopping customers evaluate three competing service businesses, the one with cohesive professional design is perceived as the more competent operator before they ever evaluate actual service quality.

How we work
Brand-kit-driven (preferred)
If you have a brand kit (or we built one for you via our brand identity service), graphic design becomes faster and more consistent. Every asset we produce uses your defined colors, typography, and visual style — eliminating the back-and-forth of "what color should the headline be?"
Style-defining (for new brands)
If you don't have a brand kit yet, we typically recommend building one first. Producing one-off graphic designs without an underlying brand system creates inconsistency over time — your social posts look different from your business cards which look different from your ads.
Project-based vs. retainer
One-off projects (business card set, single brochure, single ad campaign) charged per project. Ongoing graphic design needs (monthly social content, regular marketing collateral, ongoing ad creative refresh) handled via monthly retainer at lower per-asset cost.
The production process
Brief intake
Every project starts with a brief: what's the asset for, who's the audience, what's the call-to-action, what's the deadline, where will it be displayed (print? web? mobile?). Specs that affect design decisions before we start designing.
Initial concepts
For most projects: 2-3 initial concept directions. You pick a direction. We refine that direction in subsequent rounds. (Some projects skip initial concepts when scope is tightly defined — e.g., "we need 8 Instagram story templates in our existing brand style" doesn't need concept exploration.)
Revisions
Standard projects include 2-3 revision rounds. Excessive revisions outside the scope of feedback ("can we try it with a completely different layout") billed at hourly rate.
Final delivery
Production-ready files in appropriate formats: vector source (AI / EPS / SVG) + rasterized exports (PNG, JPG) at appropriate sizes + print-ready PDFs (CMYK, bleed, crop marks) for print materials. Plus the underlying design source files so you have full file ownership.
Working with your printer
Print projects require coordination with the printer. We deliver print-ready files with correct bleed, color profile, and crop marks. We can recommend printers in the Baltimore area we've worked with — Allegra, Vistaprint (for low-cost basic items), Mospec (for high-quality custom), Banner Up (for signage + large format).
